Eye Dynamics (
EYDY,
Trade) today announced a record
249% increase in revenue for the third
quarter of 2002 compared to the same
period a year ago. Year to date revenue
of $1,048,000 is an increase of 217%
over the same nine month period in
2001.
Profit for the quarter was $102,578
as opposed to a loss of $66,410 in the
third quarter of 2001. And the year to
date profit for 2002 is $77,927
compared to a loss of $416,478 for the
same nine month period in 2001.
The increase in sales is due to
success of the company's private label
program for Video ENG Systems, and a
resurgence of the Eye Dynamics' label
Video ENG products after its September
trade show at the American Academy of
Otolaryngology.
Private label shipments accounted
for about 40% of ENG sales in the last
half of 2001, but in 2002 they now
account for 66% of sales. Their success
is due to a strong marketing program
that has opened up new market segments
(Neurology market) and selling of a
complete package, including training
for a "Fall Prevention and
Rehabilitation" program. Eye Dynamics
and its private label customer are
currently negotiating a long-term
exclusive manufacturing and
distribution relationship.
Two other events are notable: (1) In
October, Eye Dynamics shipped 3 EM/1
Eye Observation Systems to the
Department of Forensic Sciences, State
of Alabama. This brings their total
order to 4, and a 5th unit will be
shipped in November. And, (2) the
company received an Export License for
Iran. It has three Letters of Credit
for purpose of the medical ENG system
with shipments starting in November. It
took almost one year of government
scrutiny to obtain the license, which
is good for one year. Eye Dynamics'
agent in Tehran, Iran has indicated
that he expects to receive additional
orders in the coming months.
